Officer Thomas Corstorphin

Died 19 January 1844

Fatally stabbed while executing an arrest warrant on a deranged man.


Dunfermline City Police


PC Daniel Campbell

Died 14 February 1915, aged 46

 Collapsed while on patrol and died the next day from a cerebral haemorrhage.


Kirkcaldy Burgh Police


PC Alexander Lamond

Died 26 May 1883, aged 27

Fatally bludgeoned by three men during a disturbance at a house.


Fife Constabulary


SC George Lambert Storrar

Died 23 January 1941, aged 38

Killed trying to recover a drifting mine from the sea while off duty.


Sgt George Hughes

Died 22 February 1979, aged 42

Fatally injured in a road traffic accident while travelling to duty.


T/Sgt Alasdair Tay Ferry

Died 8 October 2003, aged 40

Fatally injured in a motorcycle accident on duty in Edinburgh.


ACC Derrick Scougal

Died 28 September 2004, aged 45

Collapsed and died while attending a national police conference at Ayr.


PC Kirsty Allan

Died 2 March 2007, aged 24

Killed in a road traffic accident while travelling to report for duty at Oakley.
