Formed on 1 April 2013 by the amalgamation of the former Scottish Police Services of Central Scotland Police, Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary, Fife Constabulary, Grampian Police, Lothian and Borders Police, Northern Constabulary, Strathclyde Police, Tayside Police LEST WE FORGET PC Anthony Collins, 43PC Kirsty Nelis, 36Captain David Traill, 51Died 29 November 2013 The two police crew and their pilot died, together with a number of persons on the ground, when their police service helicopter crashed into a public house in Glasgow. PC Mark MurtaghDied 16 May 2014, aged 44 Killed travelling to work at Galashiels when his motorcycle collided with a bus. PC Douglas WigginsDied 3 May 2016, aged 55 Collapsed attending a night emergency call to Newhouse and died in hospital. PC Roy BugginsDied 3 September 2019, aged 51 Collapsed and died whilst in attendance at an incident in Montrose, Angus. PC Thomas WhiteDied 10 February 2021, aged 57 Collapsed and died suddenly whilst walking home from duty at Livingston. LEST WE FORGET |
