Died of heart failure accelerated by a violent struggle during an arrest.

Died 5 June 1894, aged 35

Died from injuries received when kicked by a soldier he was arresting.

Cardiganshire Constabulary

PC David Owen Jones

Died 19 June 1926, aged 27

Killed in a motorcycle accident following an extended tour of duty.

PC Erroll V. J. Griffiths

Died 14 January 1967, aged 23

Fatally injured when hit by a car, while manning a road block.

Died 18 June 1971, aged 23

Killed in a road accident returning home from a CID course at Bristol.

PC Hefin John Llewellyn

Died 14 August 1971, aged 22

Killed in a road traffic accident while on duty.

Died 3 June 1979, aged 19

Fatally injured in a police vehicle accident responding to an incident.

Sgt William Mervyn C. Williams

Died 30 July 1979, aged 36

Killed in a road traffic accident while on duty at Llanelli.

Died 18 October 1990, aged 37

DC Nicholas George Tabraham

Died 18 October 1990, aged 29

DC Leonid Evans

Died 18 October 1990, aged 41

DC Paul Jones Hetherington

Died 29 October 1990, aged 35

Fatally injured in a collision with a lorry while on surveillance training.

DC Barrie Davies

Died 11 October 2005 aged 38

Killed when his unmarked police vehicle crashed while going off duty.

Insp Gareth Earp

Died 29 June 2023 aged 43

Died following a two car road traffic collision while travelling home from duty.
