Ronan Padraig Kerr

Died 2 April 2011, aged 25
|
|
Killed by a terrorist bomb, which exploded under his car outside his home in Omagh, Co. Tyrone, as he was about to set off to report for duty in Eniskillen.
Ronan entered police training college at Garnerville in May 2010 and was posted to F District in December 2010. He first joined the Neighbourhood policing Team in Enniskillen before moving to a response role at the end of March 2011.
He is survived by his widowed mother, sister and two brothers.

Anthony Wright

Died 9 August 2011, aged 47
|

Died when the motorcycle he was riding was in collision with a car
whilst he was on duty in Kidderminster.
Tony had 22 years police service and was based at police headquarters. He had previously served in the army and had been awarded a Police Bravery Award.
He is survived by his wife, a serving officer, and his adult daughter
from a previous relationship.

Keith Malcolm Dobson

Died 3 September 2011, aged 68
|

Died after retirement, of malignant mesothelioma resulting from exposure to asbestos during firearms training at military sites over many years, while a firearms officer and member of the Birmingham Airport Police Firearms Unit.
Keith joined Birmingham City Police in 1967 and after amalgamation in 1974 he worked at Erdington and Aston as an area car driver. In 1981 he was awarded the Certificate of the Society for the Protection of Life from Fire. For his last ten years he was a full-time Firearms Team member, retiring in 1995 after 28 years service.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters and son.

Mark Goodlad

Died 24 October 2011, aged 41
|

Fatally injured whilst assisting a female motorist with her broken down car, on the hard shoulder of the M1 Motorway near Wakefield, where the officer was standing between his marked police vehicle and the woman's car when a Heavy Goods Vehicle was in collision with both vehicles.
Mark, a former Special Constable, was a Motorway Patrol Roads Policing Officer
with 10 years service and had been seriously injured in the line of duty in 2009.
He is survived by his wife and son aged 14.

Neil Jeffrys

Died 2 November 2011, aged 49
|
|
Constable Jeffrys died of injuries sustained on 16 August 2002, while driving an unmarked police car at Loch Lomond, which was struck head on by a vehicle on the wrong side of the road, killing his observer Constable Jim Clarke, and causing head injuries from which he remained hospitalised until his death.
Neil had joined the Force in August 1991 and at the time of his injury had been based in the Traffic Department at the Road Policing Complex in Govan.
He is survived by his wife, a serving officer, three daughters, his mother and sister.

Died in hospital after suffering a brain haemorrhage while returning home soon after finishing duty at the Force Communications Centre, Bilston, Midlothian.
David had joined the Force in May 1982 and worked at the Communications Centre.
He is survived by his wife and twin daughters, his parents, two sisters and brother.

Died when his motorcycle was involved in a three vehicle collision at Rainham while travelling to report for day duty at Medway.
Terry had 24 years police service and worked in the Crime Response Team at Medway.
He is survived by his wife and two young daughters.

Ian David Jones

Died 2 March 2011, aged 53
|

Collapsed and died from heart failure whilst on supervisory duties at the
Dog-Section office at West Mercia Police Headquarters in Worcester.
Ian had served with the Metropolitan Police since July 1982 before transferring to West Mercia in August 1986 and had been a dog handler at Force HQ since 2002.
He is survived by his wife, their three sons and two daughters.

Died when he came off his motorcycle which crashed near near Hemel Hempstead whilst travelling home in the late evening from duty at Harrow.
Ian joined the police in 1997 and was working on the
Harrow Weald Safer Neighbourhoods Team.
He is survived by his wife, son aged 3 years and their daughter born 6 weeks later,
his parents and sister.

Scott Eastwood-Smith

Died 14 May 2011, aged 29

Fatally injured when his motorcycle was in collision with a car at Twickenham, whilst travelling to report for night duty at Chiswick.
Scott, who originated from Bradford, had two years police service and
was based at Chiswick Police Station as a patrol and response team officer.
He was a single man and is survived by his parents and two younger sisters.

Perviz Ahmed

Died 31 July 2011, aged 37
|
|
Fatally injured whilst travelling home from duty in Wakefield on the afternoon of 30th July when his motorcycle was in a collision with a car in Armley.
Paj joined West Yorkshire Police in 1997 and served in Pudsey Division and with the Operations Support Services Division where he was a firearms officer.
He is survived by his wife and son.

Stephen George Cully

Died 9 September 2011, aged 41

Collapsed and died of heart failure whilst in his room at the Scottish Police College at Tulliallan Fife, where he was attending a residential training course.
David joined the Force in 1994 after attending Edinburgh University; he had served on the Firearms Support Unit since 2005 and as a Firearms Instructor since 2009.
He is survived by his wife, their daughter aged 6 and son aged 4 years,
his parents and family.

Ramin Tolouie

Died 16 October 2011, aged 40
|

Fatally injured in a collision between his motorcycle and a car at Wylde Green whilst he was travelling home from duty in Birmingham.
Ram was stationed at Erdington Police Station as a response officer for Birmingham North Local Policing Unit. He had been commended for a rescue in 2007.
He is survived by his wife and daughter aged 16.
